Who is IV therapy for?
IV therapy is not for everyone. Here's who tends to ask about it, who it may not suit, and why the real answer always comes from an assessment.

Situations people ask us about
These are common reasons to speak to a clinician. They are not diagnoses, and none of them means IV therapy is necessarily right for you.

- Hydration support
- General wellness support
- Nutritional deficiency, when clinically identified
- Fatigue or low energy that needs assessment
- Recovery support
- Antioxidant support
- Metabolic wellness support
Who it may not be suitable for
This list is not exhaustive — it shows the kind of factors that make an infusion inappropriate, or that need extra screening first.
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless a doctor advises otherwise
- Those with heart, kidney or liver conditions affecting fluid or electrolyte balance, without clearance
- Anyone with a known allergy or previous reaction to infusion components
- People who are acutely unwell, or whose condition needs stabilising or investigating first
- Anyone with an eating disorder or a very low BMI, for weight-related enquiries
- Those seeking a specific outcome an infusion cannot responsibly promise
Not a diagnosis

Suitability & safety
No. It is not suitable for everyone, and suitability depends on an individual assessment. Some conditions, medicines, allergies, and pregnancy or breastfeeding, may mean it is not appropriate, or that extra screening is needed first.
Yes. Possible effects include discomfort, bruising or redness at the cannula site, lightheadedness, and effects related to specific ingredients. Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible, which is why treatment is given in a clinical setting with monitoring.
Share your full medical history, all medicines and supplements, any allergies or previous reactions, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mention heart, kidney, liver or asthma conditions in particular, as these can affect suitability.
No. IV therapy is not a replacement for a healthy diet, for prescribed medical treatment, or for proper investigation of symptoms. It may play a supportive role in some situations, but it does not treat medical conditions on its own.

Talk it through with a clinician first
Tell us what you're considering and we'll arrange a consultation. Any treatment depends on a professional assessment of whether it's right for you — the enquiry itself confirms nothing.
